Second Black Hills mining proposal selected for federal fast-track permitting

A second Black Hills mining project, the Bear Lodge Rare Earth Mining Project in Wyoming, has been fast-tracked by federal officials under the FAST-41 process, aiming to expedite permitting and boost domestic mineral independence. The project seeks to extract critical rare earth elements, while a long-standing uranium project in South Dakota also remains under federal review.
