House passes bill to shield Americans from data center energy costs

The House passed the bipartisan Ratepayer Protection Act 417-3, sending it to the Senate. Sponsored by Rep. Gabe Evans, the measure aims to have large electricity users such as data centers pay for new power-generation costs rather than shifting them to consumers.
